Celebrations of the 79th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

The Russian Embassy in Pakistan celebrated the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War by hosting a diplomatic reception, which featured the traditional commemorative campaign "Immortal Regiment". It brought together Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, DHM of Kyrgystan and Tajikistan, Embassy staff, as well as Russian compatriots living in Pakistan.

The Russian Embassy School also organized a concert in honor of Victory Day. The real highlight of the evening was the recitation of war poems by the School students and the performance of poignant war songs.

In addition, the Embassy organized awareness campaigns “Windows of Victory” and “Saint George’s Ribbon”. A minute of silence was observed.
