International Science Fiction Symposium "Inventing the Future"

On November 4-6, 2024, Moscow hosted the International Science Fiction Symposium “Inventing the Future”, the flagship event of the “Designing the Future” initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The symposium was attended by scientists, researchers, futurologists, forecasters, science fiction writers, and government officials. Among them were science fiction writer Sergei Lukyanenko, futurologist Sergei Pereslegin, Director of the Patrice Lumumba PFUR Engineering Academy Yuri Razumny, and Director General of VCIOM Valery Fedorov. The participants discussed innovative ideas and projects that contribute to the development of science and technology in the country.
