Dear People of Pakistan!

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on Independence Day of your beautiful country.

One of the many things shared by Russia and Pakistan is deep and abiding respect for family values. Family is the most important thing in anyone’s life and a country is like family – just on a slightly larger scale.

Russia and Pakistan have been friends throughout the years and I am sure that we will see our already robust and fruitful relations reach new heights and help both our countries thrive. Pakistan is home to incredibly talented, hard-working and open-hearted people and I am confident that they are the nation’s greatest asset.

On this day of joy and celebration, I wish everyone in Pakistan excellent health, happiness and prosperity. May God bless you.
