VISA

When applying for visa, please, be advised that the permission to enter the Russian Federation is a courtesy of the State.

In accordance with the International Law, the Consular Department in certain cases reserves the right to consider your visa applications as long as it feels necessary.

Visa can be denied if the Consular Department has serious reasons to believe that the Applicant’s visit to the Russian Federation is not desirable, and the disclosure of the reason for the denial can be withheld.

Visa processing fees received from the applicant are not subject for reimbursement in case of subsequent refusal.

The Consular Department of the Embassy bears no responsibility for the errors in visas, which were not brought to his attention before departure from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

According to the bilateral agreement between the Russian Federation and Islamic Republic of Pakistan the holders of Diplomatic and Official passports do not need to obtain a visa.

Guests of the employees of the Foreign Diplomatic and Consular Missions in Russia are advised to obtain an invitation or verbal note from the Mission addressed to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Children apply for separate visas if they travel on their own passports. Non-traveling parents must confirm in an affidavit their consent for their children’s travel. If the child’s surname differs from that of his (her) parents, a copy of the child’s birth certificate must be enclosed.

The Consular Department of the Embassy does not issue visas to any other CIS and former Soviet Union republics.

Travelers who are planning to stay in Russia for a period of more than 90 days must attach a copy of an HIV test certificate to their application papers.

Passport must be valid no less then 6 months after the date of visa expiry. It should contain at least two blank pages. The signature or the thumb impression of the bearer should be on page 2 of a Pakistani passport. If an applicant has previous passports, he should submit all of them. If a previous passport was lost, FIR in English language from the nearest police station should be attached.

The photo, sticked to the application form should be 3.5 x 4.5 cm on a white background and not bigger than the frame on the application form. (NOT STAPPLED, BUT GLUED). Application form borders should be 0.5 cm (sample), other applications will be rejected. All the documents should be stappled on the same sequence as they are mentioned in this web-site. Visa processing fees received from the applicant are not subject for reimbursement in case of subsequent refusal.

The Visa section of the Consular Department is open on Monday and Thursday for the Visa applicants, exept Tourists. On Tuesday Consular Section is open only for Tourist Applicants. The time for submitting the passport and documents is from 11:00 a.m – 13:00 p.m on the respective days.

 

VISA FEE (updated on 28.01.2017)

Based on the Russian-Pakistan agreement Pakistani citizens are exempted from paying consular fees when applying for visas

For Pakistani citizens the fee is:

1. Single entry visa - Rs. 2100 (issued in one week after the application date).

2. URGENT Single entry visa - Rs. 4200 (issued on the next working day).

3. Double entry visa - Rs. 3360 (issued in one week after the application date)

4. URGENT Double entry visa - Rs. 6720 (issued on the next working day).

5. Multiple entry visa - Rs. 6300 (ssued in one week after the application date).

6. URGENT Multiple entry visa - Rs. 12600 (issued on the next working day).

 

 

 

HOW TO APPLY

One should apply personally at the Consular Department or through it’s official representative. In that case a representative has to provide an Authority Letter.

 

Visa Application form is to be filled in by the Applicant on-line http://visa.kdmid.ru. After filling the form, the system will allow you to download and print it. Application form must be printed in A4 page (210×297 mm). Open the file in Adobe Reader, use “FILE” menu, then “Print”. In a new Printing window in “Page handling” check next options: In page scalling choose NONE, do not mark “Auto rotate and center”. The applicant should sign the form personally.

USA, UK, Canada and Georgia passport holders are to print 2 copies of Application Form.

Consular Department reserves the right to invite the applicants in person for an interview and ask questions on personal, financial, business or corporate related issues as well as on their Russian contacts and partners.

 

TOURIST VISA

Russian Tourist Visa can be single-entry or double-entry and is issued for no longer than 30 days.

 

ATTENTION TO THE TOURIST VISA APPLICANTS

                  Every tourist visa applicant, traveling after April 01, 2016, is to be personally interviewed. While interview, the applicant should provide complete information about the host party, payment of tourism services and hotel accommodation, itinerary of the travel including all addresses of the expected stay, date of the last trip to the Russian Federation, two way confirmed tickets with fixed dates. The decision about the grant of tourist visa will be made in 30 days after submission of all documents.

 

 For a Tourist Visa, please submit:

 

1. Duly completed visa application form (http://visa.kdmid.ru) with a sticked photo.

2. Valid passport.

3. Original Tourist Voucher and Original Tourist Confirmation (in Russian language) of acceptance from a Russian travel agency or a hotel (not a booking), registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The confirmation must contain the agency’s reference number and registration number.

4. Original Police Character Certificate with the contact number of issuing authority.

5. Two way confirmed ticket with fixed dates.

 

PRIVATE VISA

Private Visa is issued for no longer than 90 days and is valid for single or double entry.

For a Private Visa, please submit:

1. Duly completed visa application form (http://visa.kdmid.ru) with a sticked photo.

2. Valid passport.

3. Original Invitation Letter, issued by the Immigration office in Russia on the request of your friend or relative.

4. Family Registration Certificate from NADRA.

5. Original Police Character Certificate with the contact number of issuing authority.

6. The bank statement of the person who invites the applicant or the applicant’s bank statement.

7. Copy of a valid passport of the person who invites you.

8. Original letter from the person who invites you, that he/she takes full responsibility for your stay in the Russian Federation.

In case, Applicant’s wife/husband has Russian Nationality and are traveling together it is possible to obtain a Private visa without an Original invitation. It is required to fill the request and visit  the visa section together.

 

BUSINESS VISA

(single-entry visa, double-entry visa, multiple-entries visa)

Single-entry and double-entry Business Visas are issued for no longer than 90 days.

Multiple-entry Business Visa is issued for up to 1 year, but is valid for 90 days of every 180.

For a Business Visa, please submit:

1. Duly completed visa application form (http://visa.kdmid.ru) with a sticked photo

2. Valid passport.

3. Original Invitation Letter. It is issued by the Immigration office in Russia on the request of your business partner.

4. Bank statement.

5. Registration certificate in the local chamber of commerce.

6. National tax payment number certificate.

7. Original Police Character Certificate with the contact number of issuing authority.

8. HIV test. (For those travelers, whose visa will be valid for more than 90 days)

10. Russian Company’s letter

 

WORKING VISA

For a Working Visa, please submit:

1. Duly completed visa application form (www.visa.kdmid.ru) with a sticked photo

2. Valid passport.

3. Original Invitation Letter. It is issued by the Immigration office in Russia on the request of the company which is hiring you. see Example

4. The original letter from the organization which hires you with its full information on registration in the Russian Federation.

5. Original contract or agreement with host company.

6. Original Police Character Certificate with the contact number of issuing authority.

7. HIV test

 

TRANSIT VISA

Transit Visa permits to travel through the Russian territory without a stay.

In accordance to your tickets, visa can be issued for up to 72 hours, if you travel by air, or for up to 10 days, if using other means of transportation.

For a Transit Visa, please, submit:

1. Duly completed visa application form (http://visa.kdmid.ru) with a sticked photo

2. Valid passport.

3. Original return confirmed ticket with fixed dates.

4. Valid visa for the country of destination.

5. Original Police Character Certificate with the contact number of issuing authority.

 

STUDENT VISA

For a Student Visa, please, submit:

1. Duly completed visa application form (http://visa.kdmid.ru) with a sticked photo

2. Valid passport.

3. Original invitation from the institute/university/academy issued by the concerned Ministries of the Russian Federation.

4. Original Academic certificates. They must be attested by the Ministry of Education of Pakistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and translated into Russian language. Its copies should be attached to the application case.

5. University Contract for the education signed by both sides.

6. HIV test certificate.

7. Medical fitness certificate.

8. Up-to-date bank statement. If the bank statement is not of the applicant but of a sponsor or a relative, there should be a sponsor’s letter(affidavit).

9. Original Police Character Certificate with the contact number of issuing authority.
